Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, spoke about the behavior of her 15-year-old son from Donbass, whose adoption she had previously talked about. During a press conference, the Ombudsman said that the new member of her family still had memories of her former life.

She added that «this is not due to him, but to the propaganda of the eight-year-old» on the territory of Ukraine.

Lvova-Belova announced the adoption of a teenager in the summer of 2022 — during the filming of a TV report on Family Day , love and fidelity. She stated that the boy was from the Donbass, «from the cellars of Mariupol».
