The court fined actor Dmitry Nazarov for the song «Do Russians Want Wars»

The judge of the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow, Alesya Orekhova, fined People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Nazarov 50,000 rubles under a protocol on «discrediting» the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This is reported by the correspondent of «Mediazona» from the courtroom.

Nazarov was charged with the video “Do the Russians want wars”, published on his YouTube channel. The actor himself was not present at the trial and conveyed through a lawyer that he did not admit his guilt. Contrary to the practice of all previous similar cases, prosecutor Maxim Demin was present at the meeting.

Natalia Kryukova and Alexander Tarasov acted as experts in the actor's case. Previously, they conducted research on the cases of Yuri Dmitriev, Vladislav Sinitsa and Jehovah's Witnesses. Nazarov's defender Ilnur Sharapov considered their examination unacceptable.

In mid-January, it became known about the dismissal of Dmitry Nazarov and his wife Olga Vasilyeva from the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater (MKhT). Later, the couple, in an interview with journalist Katerina Gordeeva, said that at first the head of the Moscow Art Theater, Konstantin Khabensky, suggested that they go on a “sabbatical”, and later said: “Unfortunately, I can’t do anything, you need to quit. Or they will take away my reservation for 29 people.”

After the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Dmitry Nazarov began to publish anti-war poems and songs on his YouTube channel.
