Ministry of Internal Affairs: three security officials were killed in a shootout in Ingushetia

In the Malgobek district of Ingushetia, during a shootout with «members of a bandit group», three policemen were killed, and eight more security officials were injured. This is reported by RIA Novosti, Interfax and TASS with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies, the information was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the police, policemen from the Tula region died — the head of the Petrovsky police station, Captain Maxim Alekhin, assistant on duty at the temporary detention center of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs «Efremovskiy» sergeant Maxim Rodionov — and senior district police officer «Malgobeksky» police major Bashir Khautiev.

Earlier it became known that the attackers were the same people who opened fire on a traffic police post between Ingushetia and North Ossetia on March 27. Then the armed attackers wounded two policemen. Another skirmish took place on April 3 in the Malgobeksky district.

After these incidents, the security forces found out that several shooters were in a house in the rural settlement of Zyazikov-Yurt. That night, when they tried to detain «members of the gang», they opened fire.

Initially, according to the security forces, there were six shooters, now the «gang group» consists of four people. The FSB reported that the police found the body of a man, next to whom lay a weapon. An Interfax source claims that it could be Movsar Kottoev.
