MOSCOW, 5 Apr. The Moscow City Court on Wednesday softened the term for a year, up to six years in prison, for top manager of Aeroflot Vladimir Alexandrov, convicted in the case of embezzling more than 250 million rubles from the airline, lawyer Andrey Grivtsov said.
“The Moscow City Court of Appeal softened Vladimir Aleksandrov (term — ed.) to six years in prison, Dina Kibets — for six months, that is, up to 5.5 years in prison,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
He added that the other defendants — Alexander Slivko and Tatyana Davydova — the court reduced the sentence to five years and nine months in prison and five years and eight months, respectively. In addition, the court exempted all defendants from paying fines and reduced the amount of damage in the case from 250 million to 244 million rubles.

The Gagarinsky Court of Moscow in July last year sentenced Alexandrov to seven years in a penal colony and a fine of 900,000 rubles. Other defendants received shorter terms: the former head of one of the departments of the airline, Tatyana Davydova — 6.5 years and a fine of 700 thousand rubles, lawyer Alexander Slivko — 6.5 years and a fine of 650 thousand rubles, lawyer Dina Kibets — six years and a fine of 600 thousand rubles.

According to investigators, in 2016, Aleksandrov arranged for Aeroflot to conclude four agreements with lawyers Slivko and Kibets on legal assistance and representation of the airline’s interests in civil, arbitration and criminal cases, but there was no need for this, since this was done by employees of the airline’s legal department, claims consequence.

Based on the forged acts prepared by lawyers about the services allegedly rendered to Aeroflot, Alexandrov and Davydova in 2016-2018 ensured an illegal transfer to accounts lawyers more than 250 million 660 thousand rubles, noted the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. However, the Moscow City Court reduced this amount of damage to 244 million rubles.
The verdict has entered into force.
