NYT: The Pentagon launched an investigation into the leak of plans by the US and NATO with schedules for the supply of weapons to Ukraine

The Pentagon has launched an investigation into the leak of US and NATO documents marked “top secret” on Twitter and Telegram, which contain information about the schedule of arms deliveries to Ukraine. This is reported by the New York Times with reference to representatives of the Joe Biden administration.

As journalists noted, the American president's subordinates tried to remove information from the public domain, but by the evening of April 6 they failed. At the same time, military analysts suggest that not all of the information in the published files is reliable, in particular, they spoke of no more than 17.5 thousand Russian military dead, when, according to Pentagon estimates, the losses are more significant.

Military analysts think that despite the inaccuracies in the leak, the documents will allow the Russian army to find out valuable details: schedules for the supply of weapons, the number of troops, their equipment. According to the New York Times, the published files refer to the situation on March 1. Including there is information about nine combat brigades supplied by the US and NATO. Some of them, as follows from the documents, were to be ready for the offensive by March 31, and the rest by April 31. It is known that nine brigades require more than 250 tanks and 350 vehicles.

Journalists noted that the leak of such documents is the first breakthrough of Russian intelligence since the beginning of the war. Despite the amount of information, the files do not contain specific military plans for Ukraine and offensive strategies.
