NIZHNY NOVGOROD, April 7 Police officers in Kirov returned five million rubles to a man, which he forgot along with his bag, the Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
It is specified that the ownerless luggage in the entrance of the house on Ivan Popov Street was found by local residents. They reported this to the duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Kirov. The police immediately went to the address. Upon arrival, they found out that the bag was not dangerous: there were only personal belongings and about five million rubles in cash inside.
«The police identified the owner, who, as it turned out, accidentally left his hand luggage unattended. The police returned property to the rightful owner,» the statement said.
Ministry of Internal Affairs also thanked the people of Kirov for vigilance and consciousness.
