PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, Apr 7 A powerful ash ejection occurred on Friday at the Bezymyanny volcano in Kamchatka, follows from the message of the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team .
This is the fourth emission of ash from Bezymyanny since the beginning of the day. The volcano has been assigned the highest aviation hazard code.
«A powerful explosive eruption occurred on April 7 at 8.38 Moscow time. According to video and satellite data, an ash plume up to 10-12 kilometers high is drifting southeast of the volcano,» the group said in a statement.
According to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are no settlements on the path of the ash cloud.
The Bezymyanny volcano is located in the central part of the Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes, 40 kilometers from the village of Klyuchi in the Ust-Kamchatsky region and 350 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
