MOSCOW, Apr 7 Chinese President Xi Jinping on the last day visit of French President Emmanuel Macron treated him to tea in an informal setting in the city of Guangzhou in southern China.
The video of the AFP agency shows that a traditional Chinese garden in the city of Guangzhou, where the father of Chinese President Xi Zhongxun headed Guangdong Province, was chosen as the venue for tea drinking. A tea-drinking table decorated with flowers was placed on a platform next to a small pond, with spacious chairs on both sides, which were later occupied by the leaders of the two countries. Tea was brought by girls in blue dresses with protective masks.
It is noteworthy that during the conversation, the Chinese leader behaved much more relaxed than the French President, who sat on the edge of his chair and from time to time adjusted the translation device on his left ear.
Judging by Xi Jinping's remarks, the leaders discussed the need to develop high technologies and trade between countries, and also talked about French red wine and beef.
French President arrived in China on a state visit on Wednesday together with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The situation in Ukraine has become one of the main topics of negotiations between politicians.
