MOSCOW, 6 Apr. A film based on the cult game Minecraft will be released on April 4, 2025, follows from the Deadline publication.
Jason Momoa is involved in the project. Audiences know him for his role as Aquaman in DC superheroes, Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, and Duncan Idaho in Denis Villeneuve's Dune.

The Minecraft feed was announced back in 2014. Momoa's casting was announced last April, Collider recalls.
Little is known about the plot. The synopsis, revealed back in 2019, mentioned a story about a teenage girl and adventurers trying to save their world. Their opponent is the evil Ender Dragon.
