MOSCOW, 6 Apr. Kantemir Balagov spoke about ending his film career, writes Forbes.
«I'm done. Two films are more than enough,» he wrote on Twitter.
Later, his pages on social networks were deleted.
Balagov is a student of Alexander Sokurov. His debut feature is «Tightness». The film was featured in the Un Certain Regard program at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. The tape was awarded the FIPRESCI prize.
In 2019, the director came to Cannes again. In «Un Certain Regard» he presented his second film — «Tylda». She also received the FIPRESCI Prize and the Directing Award. The picture was nominated for an Oscar from the Russian Federation.
