Peskov about Macron’s words about nuclear weapons: we haven’t heard such fierce criticism of the United States for a long time
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the words of Emmanuel Macron during a visit to China about the inadmissibility of placing nuclear weapons in other countries.
“We have not heard such a fierce criticism of the President of France against the United States for a long time,” the Kremlin spokesman said in a comment to journalist Pavel Zarubin.
During a press conference conference following the talks between Chinese leader Xi Jinping and French President Macron declared the inadmissibility of placing weapons of mass destruction by countries that possess them outside their state, especially in Europe.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow and Minsk reached agreements on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
It is worth noting that the United States stores about 150 nuclear weapons outside its state in different countries, namely in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, as well as Turkey. In each of these countries, except Turkey, about 20 bombs are stored. At the same time, Ankara itself has 50 nuclear weapons.
