Ustyugov won the 50 km freestyle race in Khanty-Mansiysk, the second and third places were taken by biathletes Eduard Latypov and Nikita Porshnev, respectively.
“For this season I will give myself five points out of five. The tasks that I set together with Markus Kramer have been achieved. Thanks to the whole team and the coaching staff led by Markus. It so happened that I won only sprints and marathons. When sprinters finish, they go to marathons, but I'm not really ending my career yet,» Ustyugov said.
The Russian skier also spoke about the struggle with Latypov on the track and the fear that the biathlete would overtake him.
