SIMFEROPOL, April 7 Head of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov called the reaction of Western countries, which consider themselves to be «civilized world», to the threats of aggression against the Crimeans by the Kiev authorities strange.
Earlier, representatives of the Kyiv authorities have repeatedly announced the preparation of an offensive for the military seizure of the Crimea. In one of the latest statements, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelensky's office, even announced the deadlines — in the next 5-7 months. The Crimean authorities called this «idiotic reasoning» and promised that there would be a «short conversation» with all such characters.
«Somewhat embarrassing is the strange reaction, or rather its absence, to the spring aggravation of the Crimean issue in occupied Kiev by those countries that are commonly called the» civilized world «. But we have also got used to it since 2014, when our so-called then Western partners, in unison with the organizers and perpetrators of the coup in Kiev, called black white and vice versa,» Konstantinov said.
According to him, the collective West «doesn't notice» and sometimes even encourages the crimes of the Kyiv authorities.
«Well, let's do without the West,» the head of parliament stressed.
