On April 10, the FSB in the Moscow Region seized 699 kilograms of total cocaine in the amount of more than 2.5 billion rubles, which was transported through the territory of Russia to the European Union from Colombia. This is reported by the Center for Public Relations of the Federal Security Service of Russia.
According to the Center for Public Relations of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the retail sale of illicit psychoactive substances could bring the drug syndicate at least six billion rubles in profit.
The source reports that a wholesale batch of Colombian cocaine was delivered to Moscow, after which it was placed in a warehouse rented to a figurehead in the Moscow region. According to the plan of the criminals, in the future they were going to transport the cocaine to the EU, and sell part of the cocaine to the Russian Federation.
In addition, the special services detained three foreigners: citizens of the EU and Colombia, who were supposed to receive a particularly large consignment of cocaine in Moscow, repack it, and then smuggle drugs across borders. A criminal case has been initiated against foreign drug dealers, they have been detained.
According to Russian law, detainees can be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for such a crime.
