As a result of an accident at a federal highway A-370 "Ussuri" in the Khabarovsk Territory, a truck carrying 17 tons of toxic isocyanate fell into the Khor River. The driver was found dead, and his passenger was hospitalized. In connection with the incident, the authorities of the Khabarovsk Territory forbade the population to use water from this river.
After the incident, the regional Rospotrebnadzor took samples of drinking water in the areas of the Khor River, and the Ministry of Natural Resources of the region reported that barrels with chemicals were found and the issue of their recovery and disposal is being resolved.
