ASTANA, Apr 10Kazakhstan introduced a ban until the end of 2024 on the export of certain types of oil products from the territory of the republic outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the corresponding order of the Ministry of Energy was published in the information and legal system of regulatory legal acts of the country.
«Introduce a ban until December 31, 2024 on the export of certain types of oil products from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union,» the document says.

The list of petroleum products banned or restricted for export includes light distillates, jet fuel and diesel fuel, gas oils, toluene, xylenes and petroleum bitumen.

According to the data of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic, given in early April, Kazakhstan is among the ten countries with the cheapest fuel and lubricants in the world. Thus, the price of diesel fuel in Russia is 45% higher than in Kazakhstan, in Kyrgyzstan — by 64%, in Uzbekistan — twice. In this regard, Kazakhstan plans to raise the marginal prices for gasoline and diesel fuel from mid-April in order to prevent a shortage of fuel and lubricants against the backdrop of fuel flows to the markets of neighboring countries, where it is much more expensive.
