UN Apr 10 Accusations against Russia in allegedly receiving weapons from other countries in violation of UN Security Council resolutions are unfounded, Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the organization, said at a meeting of the Security Council.
Earlier, at a meeting of the Security Council, US Deputy Ambassador to the UN Robert Wood accused the Russian Federation of receiving weapons from the DPRK and intending to receive additional supplies in violation of UN Security Council resolutions.
“The accusations of deliveries of military products to Russia in violation of the relevant resolutions of the Security Council are unfounded, in contrast to specific cases of violation of existing agreements by Western countries,” Nebenzia said.
«Neither Kiev nor its patrons on this topic presented anything other than arguments in the spirit of highly likely, just as the existing specialized bodies created in support of the profile committee of the Security Council of 1718 on the DPRK found no grounds able to confirm the accusations voiced today,» he said.
Nevertheless, a number of Western states continue to nominate them, added Nebenzya.
