
BLAGOVESCHENSK, Apr 11 Two wagons loaded with coal derailed near the Yekaterinoslavka station of the Trans-Baikal Railway in the Amur Region, according to the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport SC.
“It has been established that on April 10, in the daytime, on a non-public railway track adjacent to the Yekaterinoslavka station of the Trans-Baikal Railway, two gondola cars loaded with coal derailed,” the report says.
According to preliminary data, the reason for the derailment of the wagons was the distortion of the railway track. No harm done. An investigation is underway.
A gondola car is a railway freight car without a roof with high sides, designed to transport ore, coal, timber and other goods that do not require protection from rain or snow.
