
MOSCOW, Apr 11 Canada expanded sanctions against Russia, the new measures affected 14 individuals and 34 legal entities, the country's government said in a statement.
«Canada further amended the Special Economic Measures Regulations (Russia) on April 5, 2023, adding 14 individuals and 34 entities. These individuals are primarily senior management of Russian companies that provide military services to Russia. These entities are primarily military technical and logistics companies,» the message said on Tuesday.
Canada imposed sanctions against the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, and also Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Nikolai Pankov.
It is indicated that the sanctions began to operate from April 5.
