BRATISLAVA, Apr 12 Slovakia was the largest fuel importer from Russia among European Union countries in late March and early April, it said on Wednesday Slovak portal pravda.sk.
«In the period from March 27 to April 2, Slovakia was the largest importer of Russian fuel (among the EU countries — ed.), the top five also included the Czech Republic and Hungary,» the publication said.

Also, according to the portal, it is not so easy for Slovakia to abandon Russian oil, since the system of the Slovnaft oil refinery located in Bratislava is tuned specifically for this type of oil.
«If the plant wanted to process another type of oil, it would require investments,» the information says.
According to the publication, earlier Slovnaft imported oil almost completely from Russia, this year the Slovak oil refiner plans to reduce the share of this raw material.
