«I am very pleased that Madame Vice President not only announced an additional several thousand soldiers, but also the construction of a base and warehouses for American equipment and weapons,» he added.
He specifically noted that conditions are being created in Poland for the transfer of American soldiers from other regions of Europe. «Soldiers can be quickly transferred from American bases. The United States already has more than 100,000 soldiers in Europe ready for battle. In Poland, there are more than 10,000. But the main thing today is technology,» the Polish prime minister said.
Morawiecki will stay in the US from 11 to 13 April. Talks are scheduled at the White House, meetings with representatives of leading companies in the US defense sector and participation in debates at the headquarters of the International Monetary Fund. The main topics of the visit will be the Polish-American economic cooperation and Poland's security issues. The issues of cooperation in the energy sector will also be touched upon.
