ASTANA, Apr 11 Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu said that Russia is a reliable ally and key economic partner of the republic in the Eurasian region, in this regard, it was important for him to make his first foreign visit as head of the Foreign Ministry to Moscow.
Nurtleu is in Russia on his first official visit after his appointment to this position.
«Russia is our reliable ally and key economic partner in the Eurasian region, so it was very important for me to make my first foreign visit to Moscow as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan,» he told the press on Tuesday -conferences following the results of negotiations with the Russian colleague Sergey Lavrov.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, during the talks a fruitful exchange of views took place on all topical issues on the bilateral agenda. «We agreed that there is great potential and groundwork for the further development of Kazakh-Russian cooperation. In a constructive manner, we also compared watches on most items of the regional and international agenda,» he said.
The results of the talks showed that relations between the countries are developing progressively in the spirit of good neighborliness, friendship and strategic partnership, the minister added.
