MOSCOW, April 13 Russia and China are working to coordinate the supply of millet and grain processing products, including rye flour and semolina, to this state from the Russian Federation , as well as medicinal plant materials, the Rosselkhoznadzor said in a statement.
The agency indicates that the issues of interaction between states in the field of agricultural exports were discussed during the meeting of Vasily Lavrovsky, adviser to the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, with representatives of the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation.
«The departments are working on the approval of certificates for the export to China of millet, grain processing products — rye flour, semolina and so on — medicinal raw materials of plant origin «, the message says.
The Russian side recalled its readiness to supply winter wheat and barley, asked to agree on a permit for the supply of corn, rapeseed and rice from all over Russia. In addition, it was proposed to consider the possibility of lifting a number of remaining restrictions on the operation of Russian ships, imposed in connection with the detection of traces of the virus on packages with fish products.
Representatives of the embassy announced the allocation of a separate customs code for non-GMO edible soybeans: this measure makes domestic soybeans, due to the ban on the cultivation of genetically modified organisms in Russia, an attractive product on the Chinese market, the Rosselkhoznadzor notes.
The agency also noted the great opportunities for bilateral trade in livestock products — this applies to both fish and seafood, which traditionally occupy a leading place in the trade turnover of the two countries, as well as and supplies of beef, pork, poultry and small cattle, animal feed, finished meat and dairy products.
Now this process is constrained by the need to inspect each new enterprise and the complexity of risk assessment procedures. It is noted that the departments may return to conducting face-to-face inspections, but intend to keep a number of inspection activities in video format.
