MOSCOW, April 15The minimum Easter set of Easter cake, cottage cheese, dyes and eggs this year will cost Russians an average of 739 rubles, which is 15% more than last year, calculated for the analysts of the Check Index service.
In 2023, Easter falls on April 16 (in 2022 it fell on April 24). The final week before the holiday — Holy Week — the period of the most active demand for Easter goods. This year it falls on the period from 10 to 15 April (last year — on 18-23 April).
«Russians spend 739 rubles this year on a minimum Easter set of Easter cake, cottage cheese, dyes, and eggs. This is higher than in the past year by 15%,» the authors of the study found out.
The analysts also calculated the spending on individual products in the set. Compared to last year, the average check for dyes for eggs grew the most — by 27%, to 115 rubles. For cottage cheese, it increased by 11%, to 129 rubles, for Easter cake — by 7%, to 371 rubles, for eggs — by 4%, to 124 rubles.
Experts of the «Index Check» note that the most people spend on Easter cakes are in Primorye, the Samara region, and in the Orenburg region — over 600 rubles. In Moscow, they take Easter cake for 380-400 rubles, in St. Petersburg — for 300-310 rubles.
