Sakhalinskaya Ministry of Emergency Situations region reported a new ash ejection on the Ebeko volcano, located on the Kuril island of Paramushir.
According to the Kamchatka response team, the height of the ash column on the morning of April 16 reached 3 km, the plume spread in a northeast direction over a distance of over 5 km.
There is no smell of hydrogen sulfide, there is no threat to the life of the population, the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
