MOSCOW, April 14 Artificial intelligence will help financiers, but will not replace them, because in such work sometimes you have to make decisions related to politics or intuition, believes Finance Minister of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.
«Human creativity, the human mind and soul cannot be replaced by any computer. One of the functions of financiers is making decisions that cannot always be replaced by a computer. These are decisions related to politics, connected somewhere with intuition. And here a computer is unlikely to be able to replace a good professional,» Siluanov said, answering Nailya Asker-zade's question in an interview on the Russia 24 TV channel about whether neural networks can replace a financier.
«We, of course, always stand for the accelerated development of information technologies, artificial intelligence. It (AI — ed.) will be of help in any work, including financiers, accountants, but it will definitely not replace the soul,» he added head of the Ministry of Finance.
He recalled that when computers were developing, the Internet was spreading, there were also fears that there would be a reduction in jobs and a computer would replace human labor. «Somewhere it happened, and in fact it is — the world does not stand still. Therefore, AI will expand — this is right, and the course of development cannot be stopped,» Siluanov emphasized.
