The expert explained who cannot be replaced by robots yet

MOSCOW, April 14In the coming years, artificial intelligence may partially replace «white-collar» but not social skills professions — PR managers, psychotherapists and clergymen, and Russians, unlike residents of China, India, Japan and the United States, can do not worry yet, said Anna Rudakova, director of the career center of the Synergy corporation, HR strategist.
The expert said that, according to employers, artificial intelligence is 100% likely to partially replace white-collar workers in the near future. Among them are designers, translators, copywriters, bank specialists, travel agents, representatives of the hotel and restaurant business, accountants and, «oddly enough, the programmers themselves.» Looking «beyond 10 years,» drivers, couriers, salespeople, lawyers, manufacturing professionals, consultants and «even doctors and teachers» are more than 40% likely to be replaced, she added.

«Professions associated with social interaction and emotional support are least at risk of being replaced by artificial intelligence: clergy, event and PR managers, volunteers , psychotherapists and career consultants who work with people,» Rudakova said. This includes representatives of creative professions who implement unique ideas using analog tools — artists, musicians, composers and writers.

At the same time, it is too early for Russians to worry about their jobs. China, India, Japan and the United States are at greater risk, since these countries account for 50% of the robotization of the whole world. First, Russia is implementing a large number of projects to prevent mass unemployment. Secondly, sanctions have played their role, due to which access to some technologies has become difficult.
“Thirdly, artificial intelligence technology is still far from perfect and is not able to completely replace human thinking with its speed and variability. So far, everything that artificial intelligence demonstrates is quite primitive … Machines are being introduced to perform primitive functionality, not showing creativity and not caring about business development,» Rudakova notes.
In addition, being replaced by artificial intelligence does not mean the complete disappearance of a number of professions in 10-20 years. Many of them are more likely to be transformed, since not all human functions can be automated. Rudakova advises white-collar workers, knowledge workers, to be aware of new technologies, upgrade skills in a timely manner, and quickly improve their skills in new professions related to artificial intelligence, or in areas where it is difficult to replace a person with AI.
