During the speech, Ivanov said: “Friends, taking this opportunity. I can’t pass by, I tried to drive this matter away from myself — I don’t know, I couldn’t, I don’t understand why, everything else turned out for some reason. For some reason, this case of Masha Moskaleva does not let me go. Perhaps because my daughter is also the same age as her — she is 14, and Masha is 13. Friends, I want to ask you: google this case, find out what happened there, be horrified by what happened to Masha and her family for the drawing she drew in the art lesson.
The audience, in response to the words of the musician, began to applaud and chant: “Dick the war!”.
Masha Moskaleva is a schoolgirl from the city of Efremov, Tula region, she was raised by a single father. In April 2022, Masha's father, Aleksey Moskalev, was called to school because of his daughter's anti-war drawing. Soon the man was fined under the article on “discrediting” the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of the comment in Odnoklassniki. Then a criminal case was opened against him because of a post about the murders in Bucha on the same social network.
Moskalev was sent under house arrest, and his daughter, whom he raised alone, was taken to a social rehabilitation center. Soon, the Efremov Interdistrict Court of the Tula Region sentenced Moskalev to two years in prison. Before the verdict was announced, he tried to leave the country, but he was detained in Belarus. On April 13, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus announced that it had handed over Moskalev to Russia. Masha was taken from the shelter by her mother Olga Sitchikhina.
In early April, Naive concerts were canceled in Cherepovets and Yaroslavl. The organizers of the speeches said that the reason was the denunciation to the prosecutor's office of the deputy of the Yaroslavl State Duma from the «United Russia» Lyubov Surova. In her telegram channel, Surova called the musicians' work «ideological sabotage.» According to her, the team leader Alexander Ivanov «openly supports Ukraine and opposes Russia.»
