Military observer Viktor Baranets commented on the telegram message -of the «Resident» channel, citing an anonymous source from the Office of the President of Ukraine that several German Leopard tanks handed over to Kiev failed without hitting the battlefield.
«The West does not give the best weapons, he is released from what should go to the open-hearth furnace,» Baranets said in an interview with the Poliexpert portal.
He also added that the weapons are transferred without proper verification after they have been in storage for several years in warehouses.
Baranets also noted that often the weapons that needed repair were handed over. «That is, he was patched up, marafetized and sent to Ukraine,» he said.
