In Krasnodar, the concert of the Shortparis group on April 18 was canceled, representatives of the Crop Arena, where it was supposed to take place, said. Performances, according to representatives of the site, will not take place “for reasons beyond the control of the band and the organizers.”
The cancellation has not yet been announced on the Shortparis website and their VKontakte page.
14 April «Crop Arena» on its website suspended the sale of tickets for the Krasnodar concert of Shortparis, while «the question of holding the concert was being decided.» The publication 93.ru connected this with a complaint about the group, which Kuban activist Nikita Izyumov, who heads the local branch of the Tsargrad movement, wrote to the mayor of the city Yevgeny Naumov.
Izyumov mentioned in his post that the lead singer of the group Nikolai Komyagin received a fine after being detained at an anti-war rally in February 2022, and also spoke about “shame” after the start of the war and compared the presidents of Russia and Ukraine in an interview with journalist Nikolai Solodnikov.
At the same time, Shortparis concerts in the halls of the «Crop Arena» in Rostov-on-Don and Volgograd, scheduled for the dates adjacent to the Krasnodar performance, will take place. In 2023, events with the participation of Valery Meladze, Instasamka, Diana Arbenina and Alexander Revva, Ani Lorak and Yaroslav Evdokimov, who were born in Ukraine, have already been canceled in Krasnodar.
