RYAZAN, April 15 An accident involving a heavy truck and a passenger car occurred in the Ivanovo region, the alleged perpetrator committed suicide, the regional head office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
It is specified that the police are establishing the circumstances of the accident, which occurred on Saturday at about 19.00 in the village of Novo-Talitsy. According to preliminary data, a Mercedes heavy truck drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a Kia Rio car, then the van left the road and stopped. The driver and passenger of the car were injured.
«The alleged perpetrator of the accident did not respond to the repeated demands of the arriving policemen to get out of the cab. In turn, he left the driver's seat and moved deep into the cabin, where he committed suicide,» the message says on the page of the Ivanovo police on the social network «VKontakte».
