Russian citizens constantly fly to skies over Poland, using the flights of foreign air carriers for tourist trips, writes the Polish portal Onet.
As noted, in this way the Russians get the opportunity to bypass the ban on flights over Poland. For example, on the eve of Easter, Russian tourists crossed the airspace over Poland without any problems, despite the sanctions restrictions. The publication wonders how this became possible.
Onet notes that many popular airlines, such as Turkish Airlines, operate flights to and from Russia. In just one day, 5 planes fly over Poland on the route between Istanbul and Moscow.
According to the Polish edition, the Mediterranean coast of Turkey is a favorite destination for Russian tourists, while the conflict in Ukraine and sanctions do not stop them from visiting Turkish resorts, and the number of Russian tourists in Turkey continues to grow.
Earlier, the attaché of the country's embassy in Russia, Ilker Ozkan, said that 6 million tourists from Russia are expected in Turkey this year, while last year 5.2 million Russians visited the country.
