
VOLGOGRAD, Apr 17 . A teenager who broke into his former school in the city of Volzhsky, Volgograd region and threatened the director with a knife, was sentenced by the court to 1 year in an educational colony, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reports.
Earlier, the Volzhsky mayor's office reported that on the afternoon of October 25, a former student broke into school No. 6, breaking down the front door, but was «stopped by a janitor», who called the director and pressed the panic button. After that, according to the mayor's office, the young man began to threaten the director with a knife. The police detained him. According to the prosecutor's office, the teenager demanded that the director reinstate him at the school from which he was transferred to another educational institution. A criminal case was opened for threatening to kill.
According to the department, on Monday the Volzhsky City Court found a 16-year-old boy guilty of «hooliganism with the threat of violence, using an object used as a weapon.»
«The court sentenced the person involved in the criminal case to 1 year in prison to be served in an educational colony,» the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
The sentence has not entered into force.
