MOSCOW, 18 Apr. Western countries are angry that Twitter has labeled media controlled by the United States and Europe, Florian Filippo, a French politician and leader of the Patriots movement, noted on social networks.
As the politician recalled, such labeling was used only against Russian and Chinese publications.
“Western public media is furious because Elon Musk applies to them on Twitter what was applied only to Russian and Chinese media: the label “government funded”! They complain when it’s just the norm! They freak out when their exposed! Bravo!» — wrote Filippo.
Today, the Canadian broadcasting corporation CBC suspended its activities on Twitter after the appearance of the label «government funded media» on one of the corporation's accounts. After stating that CBC is funded by less than 70 percent of the state budget, the owner of the social network, American entrepreneur Elon Musk, noted that the CBC label was clarified: “media funded by the government by 69 percent.”
