YAKUTSK, Apr 18 Investigators are considering two main versions incident with the L-410 aircraft in Yakutia, whose landing gear broke during takeoff, the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Russian Investigative Committee reports.
On Monday, the landing gear of an L-410 aircraft broke down during takeoff in Yakutsk, only the crew was on board, there were no injuries, the agency reported.
It is noted that the investigators and criminologists of the Investigative Committee examined the scene of the incident, recorded the trajectory of the aircraft along the runway, visible damage to the aircraft (front and left main landing gear doors, aircraft engine hood), and assessed the amount of damage.
«The preliminary investigation body is considering two main versions of what happened: the crew prematurely shifted the landing gear retract lever to the retract position until the aircraft was sufficiently lifted off the runway; the aircraft rolled its nose as a result of a gust of wind,» the press service added.
