MOSCOW, April 17Thirty bridges, more than a thousand household plots and 34 highways remain in flood zones in 17 regions of Russia, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said.
“More than 1,000 household plots, 30 low-water bridges and 34 sections of roads remain flooded in 17 regions,” the source said, adding that there were no flooded residential buildings.
Over the past week, 12 constituent entities of the Russian Federation were completely freed from water. Boat crossings have been organized to 18 cut-off settlements in four regions.
In 11 districts of the Novgorod region, due to the high water content of the Volkhov River, over 560 household plots were flooded during the week. More than half of the floods were registered in the Chudovsky district, where two rescue posts were organized.
