MOSCOW, Apr 17 The decision to include the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Moscow time zone is primarily a geographical meaning, but this is also correct from the point of view of symbolism, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law according to which in all four new regions set the Moscow time zone. On Monday, journalists asked Peskov what meaning — political, economic or military-strategic — was the basis of this decision.
«I think, first of all, geographical. But, of course, even if this was not implied, from the point of view of symbolism this is very correct,” said Peskov.
