“Leave no chance for the enemy”
The Russian army seems to have decided to partially demonstrate the capabilities of its aviation, without waiting for the announced offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She launched a massive bombing strike on the remnants of Ukrainian troops in Bakhmut (Artemovsk).
According to a military expert, former special forces officer, intelligence officer Anatoly Matviychuk, the Russian army has finally begun to actively use the weapons hidden for a «rainy day», and thereby signaled to the West: the more weapons they send to Ukraine, the greater the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.< /p>
At the positions of the Ukrainian military near Artemivsk, where fierce battles are still going on, Russian troops began to actively use UPAB-500 guided planning half-ton bombs. As a result, enemy losses are growing exponentially every day.
The Fighter-bomber channel, which is authoritative in military circles, believes that ODAB-500 volume-detonating bombs were used against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artemovsk. These ammunition leave no chance for the enemy. Neither trenches nor dugouts protect them from them. As a rule, there are no wounded either.
Air defense of Ukraine is experiencing an acute shortage of funds. This was the result of the work of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which during November-March destroyed the Ukrainian air defense system on the line of contact and in the border areas.
Military expert Anatoly Matviychuk recalled in an interview with MK the words of Vladimir Putin, who once said that the Russian army «seriously did not start anything.»
— We have not yet used all the forces and means at our disposal, — said the expert. — The enemy began to build up his groupings, and we, as Western weapons arrived in Ukraine, began to increase military production. We used high-explosive aerial bombs of large caliber in the past to a very limited extent, now we are using them on a massive scale to destroy control systems, destroy promising weapons that the West has put there.
And we still have enough weapons in stock that we are ready to use, but we don't do that yet. Actually, this is a message to the West: we will increase the power and variety of weapons.
According to the military expert, the decision to use high-powered air bombs was made in order to finally successfully complete the military operation in Artemovsk, preserving personal composition.
— Artemovsk was well prepared for a long defense. This was done by the enemy. But as we advanced, we completely defeated the grouping — now there are several areas left that are still occupied by enemy troops. I think in order to reduce the losses of our advancing troops, and the decision was made to destroy these long-term gun emplacements with powerful bombs.
