WP: Egypt starts producing ammunition for Ukraine
Egypt last March, after negotiations with officials from the United States, suspended a plan to secretly supply missiles to the Russian Federation and instead decided to produce ammunition for the Kiev regime, writes The Washington Post (WP) with reference to «leaked» to the Pentagon Documents Network.
The article says that one of the files states that Cairo has postponed the deal with Russia and approved the sale of 152-mm and 155-mm artillery shells to the American side for subsequent transfer to Kiev.
Egypt was going to use its ability to produce ammunition for Ukraine as "lever" to obtain military products from the United States, including F-35 fighter jets and Patriot air defense systems, the authors of the publication shared the details.
