Police officers suspected of passing data about colleagues to Ukrainians
Sources of the TG-channel Baza reported on the «cleansing» of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Central Administrative District and district police departments in the center of Moscow, which has been carried out by FSB officers for several weeks now. Previously, the special service became interested in information that the police are transferring personal data to citizens of Ukraine, including Russian security officials, for money.
The leak became known in mid-spring, and suspicions fell on the employees of the capital's Internal Affairs Directorate in the Central Administrative District. The interlocutors of the channel reported that the police «punched» for a fee for clients from the Network information about the security forces, judges and other special subjects. Allegedly, the Ukrainians took advantage of this.
The investigators decided to conduct an investigative experiment, and found ads on the “breakthrough” services on the darknet. They asked to find data on employees of the Moscow prosecutor's office.
«Soon, law enforcement officers actually received the requested information and at the same time confirmed that they were leaking it through the Internal Affairs Directorate in the Central Administrative District,» the source of the channel said.
After this was the beginning of the «cleansing» in the capital's police departments.
