OMSK, April 19 The Acting Head of the Oblast discussed the development of the Omsk defense industry with the directors of the military-industrial complex, the press service of the regional government reported.
The venue for the general meeting was the Omsk Research Institute of Instrument Engineering. Its CEO Vladimir Berezovsky heads the Omsk Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Vitaly Khotsenko inspected the production sites of JSC «ONIIP». The Association of Omsk Industrialists has 24 enterprises. The priorities are research in the field of analog and digital signal processing, microelectronic «systems on a chip» and microsystem elements of functional electronics, development and production of automated equipment for the fleet.
“There are not so many regional, strong associations in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. It has been operating in the Omsk region for almost thirty years, and the fact that over such a long period the association has not broken up into ten different organizations, as often happens, is very valuable. This means that the members of the association are focused on results, are ready to work, want to cooperate.The mere fact that, with the start of a special military operation, cooperative ties between enterprises within the Omsk industrial complex quickly arose is worth a lot.Today I was shown and told how Omsk residents began to mass-produce various projectile catchers for our tanks in order to protect the crews,» the head of the region emphasized.
Vitaly Khotsenko plans to visit all backbone enterprises in the near future. The Omsk defense industry has unique innovative technologies, supplies machinery and equipment for the army, actively helps participants in the military special operation, and produces products that are in demand for advanced products. The priority task is to ensure further stable operation of Omsk enterprises, to create conditions for increasing production volumes. Over the past 3 years, the defense industry in the region has almost doubled in terms of output. More than 28 thousand Omsk residents work at the enterprises and the recruitment of specialists continues.
