Mosstat has calculated how much it cost Muscovites to prepare traditional Easter dishes this year. The average cost of a do-it-yourself Easter cake was 275 rubles, and a cottage cheese Easter — 652 rubles.

As MK found out, Mosstate analyzed how much money the residents of the capital had to spend to celebrate Easter and set the table after a long fast. For the calculation, experts took the average prices in the capital's stores. So, in order to cook an Easter cake weighing about 750 grams, about 275 rubles had to be allocated from the family budget for the purchase of ingredients. The list of products includes 2 eggs (19.7 rubles), 80 ml of milk (7 rubles), 130 gr. butter (140.3 rubles), 100 gr. sugar (6.7 rubles), 345 gr. flour (20.6 rubles), 100 gr. dried fruits (79.8 rubles) and 30 gr. salt (70 kopecks). For residents of the Moscow region, cooking Easter cake cost a little less — 239 rubles. Another symbol of the holiday — cottage cheese Easter — required large financial investments. In Moscow, 652 rubles had to be spent on preparing this dish. The list of ingredients included: 500 gr. cottage cheese (231.6 rubles), 100 gr. sugar, 130 gr. sour cream (43.2 rubles), 100 gr. butter (107.9 rubles), 145 gr. dried fruits (115.6 rubles) and 100 gr. nuts (147 rubles). At the exit, the hostess received Easter weighing 875 grams. In the Moscow region, the same set of products cost culinary specialists 583 rubles.

In addition to the traditional symbols of the holiday, it is customary for Easter to treat itself to meat and dairy products after a long fast. According to the Mosstat, the most expensive dish on the festive table in the capital's apartments was raw smoked sausage — 1,408 rubles per 1 kg. National cheeses and feta cheese cost Muscovites an average of 818 rubles per 1 kg, boneless beef — 756 rubles, pork — 417 rubles, and turkey meat — 520 rubles.
