CARACAS Apr 19 The UN Security Council grossly abused the position of the host country of the UN headquarters by issuing visas not to all members of the Russian delegation, but did not give them to journalists at all, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
«Yes, we were given visas, but, as always , this was done with a gross abuse of the position of the host country of the UN Headquarters, they hesitated for a long time, then they issued visas, but not for the entire delegation, some of our employees were not on this list. Well, as you said, the journalists were not issued at all, » — Lavrov said at a press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.
At the same time, Lavrov stressed that Washington did not explain its actions in the issue of issuing visas.
