MOSCOW, 19 Apr. The conflict in Ukraine is likely to continue next year, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace is quoted by The New York Times.
«I am optimistic and believe that Ukraine will maintain a strong position. I also think that we must be realistic: there will be no magical moment when Russia collapses,» he said.
Wallace expressed confidence in the planned counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but made it clear that the conflict would continue next year.
Earlier, Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin stated that the West was «pushing» Ukraine to launch a counteroffensive in order to justify the financial and logistical supply of Kiev.
