CAIRO, Apr 20 Ten people killed, more than 40 injured as a result of a stampede in the center of the Yemeni capital Sana'a, a source in the city said.
«Crowds of citizens crowded in as businessmen handed out money at the financial aid distribution center at Main School in downtown Sana'a, killing 10 people and injuring more than 40,» the source said.
According to the source, the wounded were taken to the nearby al-Saura General Hospital and other clinics in the city. He notes that this was the first such incident, stating that entrepreneurs distributed aid weekly to those in need in the same place without any casualties.
In addition, the press service of the Supreme Political Council created by the Houthis reported on his Twitter account that the head of the council, Mahdi al-Mashat, expressed condolences to the families of the victims and instructed to create a committee to investigate the incident. He also stressed the importance of taking the necessary measures to clarify the causes of the incident.
