SBU: an attempt to hijack a VKS plane turned into shelling of an airfield near Kropyvnytskyi
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) began to conduct an investigation into the rocket attack on the Kanatovo airfield near Kropyvnytskyi on July 23 last year, which occurred due to actions soldiers of the Ukrainian army. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian special services.
“According to the investigation, this shelling was provoked by unauthorized actions of individual servicemen who decided to carry out the so-called. «special operation» to seize the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, whose pilot allegedly agreed to the proposal to go over to the side of Ukraine, ”the report says.
As a result, the Ukrainian military, without knowing it, provided Russian pilots with information about the deployment of personal composition and aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result, Russian troops were able to strike at the Kanatovo airfield in the Kirovograd region.
It is noted that the commander of the military unit was killed and 17 soldiers were injured as a result of the shelling.
