Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Dmitry Gorin, during a round table in the MK press center, noted that Russians still have the opportunity to plan a vacation in Europe, but the organization of this trip will have to be approached with great responsibility.
< p>“It is not necessary to discount Europe. There are connecting flights to travel there. Schengen visas are issued, moreover, Russians today have about a million valid visas.
However, when planning a trip, you need to take into account many nuances: how long it will take to fly, what kind of connection will be, etc. The main question is how much will it cost and how to pay if Russian cards do not work abroad? The tour operator can help and make it possible to pay for everything in rubles,” Gorin explained.
Out of 27 EU countries, 17 countries continue to issue visas. Among the most loyal are Italy, France and Spain. There are numerous precedents for issuing multiple visas to Russians lasting several months, a year and even 5 years.
However, in the current realities, you still need to be careful:
“Having a visa is not a guarantee of crossing the EU border . There are many nuances to remember: for example, our closest neighbors, Poland, the Baltic countries and Finland do not let Russian tourists in even if they have a visa.
In other countries, they may be more picky about formalities. Insurance, hotel reservations, cash, return tickets — all this can be asked at the border. Be prepared for questions, print all papers in English or in the national language in advance. Today it is worth having an extended package of documents on hand,” added Gorin.
