MOSCOW, April 25 Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that there are still problems with the pace of digitalization of production in Russia, this is due, among other things, with sanctions, since the country is «cut off» from the software necessary for the transition to digital.
«There are problems with digitalization, and this is true. Because, firstly, unfortunately for us, at the moment they are trying to cut us off from the mass of products for the introduction of digital technologies — this concerns the electronic component base and what is commonly called software, that is, programs,» Medvedev said at the Knowledge marathon, answering a question from the participants.
At the same time, he added that «we ourselves are not born out of thin air» and «we try to develop everything at home».
« «But of course, we all would like the pace of digitalization, the transition to digital technologies in the defense industry and in the civilian sector to be faster,» Medvedev said.
He pointed out that Russia also has achievements in this area, citing developed digital services as an example.
“But if we talk about the introduction of digital into production processes, then there are certain difficulties, and not only because of the sanctions, but also because we need to apply energy here,” he explained Deputy Chairman of the Security Council.
He added that this would have to be «seriously dealt with».
