MOSCOW, April 22 According to the Russian national theater award «Golden Mask-2023», the best ballet was the play «Katarina, or Daughter robber» of the Opera and Ballet Theater named after D.A. Hvorostovsky (Krasnoyarsk), the correspondent reports.
Pyotr Pospelov was recognized as the best composer in the musical theater.
The award ceremony takes place on Saturday at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theatre. The ceremony was hosted by Lika Rulla and Sergey Epishev.
In total, four candidate performances were announced in the nomination.
The «Golden Mask» is a professional award that was established in 1993 by the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation. The festival is held annually in Moscow and presents the best performances of the season in all types of theatrical art (drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta/musical, puppet theater).
