MOSCOW, April 24 The sanctions list of Ukraine may be replenished with more than 16,000 names, according to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC).
«The use of personal sanctions… can be one of the most effective tools for the complete collapse of the Moscow regime. Currently, the database (YouControl — ed.) contains 9 thousand 37 sanctioned persons and 16702 potentially sanctioned and is regularly updated,» — according to a message published on the NAPC website.
On June 6, 2022, the Yermak-McFaul international expert group presented a roadmap for individual sanctions against individuals and legal entities in Russia, the number of potential candidates amounted to at least 12,000 people. According to the compilers of the list, representatives of large businesses who managed to avoid sanctions in most or all previous restrictions deserve special attention.
A number of Western countries have introduced new sanctions against the Russian Federation because of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the policy of containment and weakening of Russia is a long-term strategy of the West, and the sanctions dealt a serious blow to the entire world economy. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said earlier that the confiscation of property, arrests of aircraft, property, sanctions against Russian businessmen demonstrate the collapse of the sanctity of private property in the West and the danger of doing business there.
